You are free to bring any member of your family regarding age. The only thing we ask is if the little one gets wild or loud it makes it difficult for the tech to get the desired photos. If it happens you may be asked to have the little one wait in the lobby with the parents or the guardian until the appointment is finished.
Do you take measurements and weight?ccmncontract2022-05-09T11:10:29+00:00
Unfortunately due to the state of California there are laws that prevent us from telling you any medical answers regarding your little one as we need a practitioners license to do so. We are an Elective Ultrasound, we only take fun photos!
Can I record on my phone?ccmncontract2022-05-09T11:09:41+00:00
Wear something comfortable. A dress is not recommended for the appointment, something that exposes the belly easiest, loose fit clothing works best. Drink plenty of water, we recommend around a gallon a day for 3-5 days before your appointment time to rejuvenate the amniotic fluid and to ensure the best photos possible.

What is the difference between 2D, 3D and 4D ultrasound?caprenatimage20222022-04-27T20:46:33+00:00
A 2D image is the familiar, one-dimensional, black-and-white picture used for diagnostic scans and gender reveals. 3D adds dimension, color and the ability to print off scans or save them to a CD. With this scan, you’re able to see more of what your baby looks like, from its tiny fingers to its cute, button nose. 4D imaging is the most cutting-edge of all ultrasound technology and involves seeing your baby’s movements and personality through 3D video captured on a keepsake DVD.

You remain dressed throughout the ultrasound, so it’s best to wear a comfortable pair of pants and top that are easy to move up and down (a dress with shorts underneath is also fine). Plan on arriving 10-15 minutes early; you’ll be greeted by our friendly reception team and given forms to fill out. Once your room is ready, you will be taken back to see your baby on screen for the first time.
Drink 3+ extra litres of water a day starting 3-5 days before your appointment. This will increase the volume and clarity of your amniotic fluid. Please follow all doctor’s orders if they vary from anything listed here.
When is the best time to have a 3D/4D ultrasound?caprenatimage20222022-04-27T20:48:31+00:00
For a gender reveal, the best time for quality imaging is 17 weeks or beyond. They can, however, be performed anytime after 15 weeks. When you want good shots of your baby’s facial expressions, 28 to 32 weeks is ideal.
